Alexis Araminta Renee

Alexis Renee is a choreographer, performer, and multi-media artist fascinated with the intersections of race, gender and class. Interested in transnational research approaches Alexis has studied, performed and presented work throughout the United States, Europe, and the Caribbean. Locally, her choreography has been performed at the American College Dance Festival, UMBC, Howard Community College, Artscape, Akimbo, The Kennedy Center and The White House. In 2014, Alexis was honored the American College Dance Association /Dance Magazine Award for outstanding choreography and was featured in the September 2014 issue of Dance Teacher magazine. Alexis is a 2017 Ruby Artist Grant recipient from the Greater Baltimore Cultural Alliance.
